Hand painted hedgehog roundel, approximately 10cm diameter. These lovely baby hedgehogs are hand painted using traditional glass painting techniques and include the use of enamels which add colour to the leaves and acorns which frame the hedgehog. They require up to seven firings to achieve the depth of colour required for the leaves. The edges of the roundels can be finished with copper foil covered with a bead of solder and polished black so they can be hung at a window, or alternatively left raw at the sides so they can be fitted into a leaded window. These make a really special addition to a window where the light shows off the detail to its fullest effect. Due to the handmade nature of this product each hedgehog is unique and details such as painting marks will vary slightly. Please note, these are generally made to order and need at least a four week lead time.
